Anna Viola Hornyik is an International Officer at the University of Szeged, Hungary. She completed a BA in Communication and Media Studies with online marketing specialization and an MA in International Relations with a specialization in legal and business studies. Anna has been actively involved in several Erasmus+ projects and recently focused on both online and offline marketing for the university. Before joining higher education, she worked as a radio editor at a national Hungarian radio station.

Celine Kuysters is Marketing Manager at the University of Antwerp, Faculty of Business and Economics. Born and raised in the USA, Douglas Washburn has now spent nearly half his life in his adopted home of Sweden enjoying the fantastic work-life balance of Scandinavia. He brings years of experience in higher education to his current role as a Senior Marketing Manager at the Swedish Institute, the national agency for promoting Sweden abroad. Douglas is responsible for the Study in Sweden brand and is a frequent speaker on marketing in international higher education on topics such as destination branding, and student created content.

Kris Achten leads the international marketing team at Karel de Grote (KdG) University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Antwerp, Belgium. In this role, Kris helped build and align KdG's international marketing, admissions, and student services efforts and teams. In 2025, KdG was awarded ‘best European university of applied sciences’ as reviewed by students, and won the Global Student Satisfaction Awards in the category Diversity. As a freelance marketing strategist and fractional Chief Marketing Officer, Kris helps startups and scaleups develop their marketing and teams - focusing on sustainable, long-term and story-driven strategies.

Akos Kiraly is a higher education marketing specialist with over 10 years of experience. Akos grew up in Hungary and came as an international student to Germany. He has started his career in Germany with a one of the leading German university agencies before he switched to the education provider side. Akos has been previously working as Director of Student Recruitment at GISMA Business School and has successfully implemented an international student recruitment strategy for SRH Berlin University of Applied Science as well as for Lancaster University Leipzig. He is currently in charge of the sales strategy of all SRH Universities (SRH Higher Education) as Head of Strategic Sales.

She previously worked for the University of Chichester as their Digital Content Producer for 5.5 years. In that time, Chichester achieved the number 1 ranked UK University on TikTok in 2022 and 2023, and the Champion of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in content at the ContentEd awards for the final series of the University’s podcast all about minority groups.

As a Campaigns Manager at UCL, Stephanie Limuaco has designed and developed award-winning marketing communication campaigns that maximise the use of digital marketing techniques, podcasts, email marketing, events, and story-telling for the purpose of student recruitment, branding, and research communications.
Google Ads & SEO Specialist
Guus Goorts is a digital education marketing coach and author. He applies data-driven methods to Google Ads, SEO and web-conversion optimisation and has worked with clients such as the British Council Singapore, MDIS, Koç University and the Irish Universities Association. His expertise is set out in two sector handbooks—Successful Student Recruitment with Google Ads (2020) and Genuinely Helpful: A Practical Guide to Effective University Websites (2024). A Dutch citizen with Singapore Permanent Resident status, Guus is currently based in the Netherlands.
